Standard Sized Cargo
Freight whose package dimensions and piece weights conform to normal vehicle loading specifications.
Term Definition
Standard (or in-gauge) cargo refers to items packed in uniform cartons that stack within standard truck or intermodal container interior dimensions. These cartons do not demand special crane equipment and are billed under standard tariff matrix tiers. The majority of manufactured consumer goods fall into this category.
